Book Write 1

“If music be the food of love, play on. Give me excess of it.”
Choose ONE prompt:
❧ What does your author emphasize in your PLAY?
What is there an excess of in your PLAY?
What motif or item or reference occurs over and over in your play?
Are there reoccurring elements in your play? (Is there a “play” on something?) In Ernest there was an emphasis on Bunburying and marriage and money. Is there an emphasis on something in your play?
or you can choose this prompt  What would make a great theme song for your main character, and why?
Include a copy of the lyrics, and point out 3 specific quotes from the song that match the character.
Give examples from the book and explain why the song goes with the character. You need to have a good comparison/contrast of why your song matches your character.

Directions: Write 3 paragraphs (250-300 words) on ONE of the prompts. Use quotes and develop your idea. Don't use BE verbs. Remember NOT to write about yourself, and don't write about "you" (*Mrs. Phippen*). You mean the author and the characters.
